Champassak University

Champasack University was established and developed to be as a centre of education, research and academic services to society. Also to provide opportunities for people access to Higher Education in the southern provinces of Laos as well as in the region, and educate people preserving and promoting beautiful culture of the nation, especially Lao people ethnic groups.

Champasack University offers 27 Bachelor and 2 Master programmes in the 6 faculties such as Faculties of Agriculture and Forestry, Education, Economics and Management, Engineering, Natural Sciences, and Faculty of Law; MSc. Sustainable Agronomy Programme and Civil engineering programme. There are 416 staff in total with 359 teaching staff, and 44 administrative staff ( in 2019). There are currently 6,066 students in total from undergraduate programme.

Planning and International Cooperation Office is a secretary for rector in running cooperative agreements and activities with international institutions and organizations.

Champasack University IRO office work for

  • Drafting all document of cooperative agreement with international target institutions and partners
  • Facilitating all document and procedure for students, lecturers, staff and university leaders to join international activities such as conference, exchange programmes, study visit and doing research with partners
  • Coordinating  with partners and other guests to implement cooperation activities
  • Planning international cooperation activities with partners and other support organisations for example,  welcoming university’s guests and departure for travelling
  • Following up and facilitating international guests to visit and work at Champasack University
  • Planning and collecting monthly, 3 months, 6 months and annual planning and reporting of the offices, faculties to finalise for university’s development plan
  • Searching opportunity for networking to be more internationalisation
